Digital Literacy Project

For my digital literacy project, I selected kidblog as my tool. We are currently immersed in nonfiction for both Readers and Writers Workshop. I decided to have students select a book that they have read from their "just right book box". Once they had selected a book/ topic they enjoyed, they were to create a nonfiction paragraph following the format that they had been taught to share what they learned. We used Mindmash to publish the writing. They used the camera to take a photo of their cover and added it to their writing. Then they saved the piece to their camera roll. Once they were on the blog, they logged in and went to their own individual blog pages. From there they selected new post, titled it, and uploaded the photo of the project from their camera roll.
