Animoto helps us say NO!

I created this video to help my students better understand the concepts of peer pressure and confidence. They are very young and these topics can be a little advance for them. I used this video on my kidblog and presented first as a whole group video and then had them watch it again and post comments. This was a great conversation starter and the kids really responded to the picture of the little girl be ousted by the others and many admitted to using the, "I won't be your friend" threat to force someone into doing what they wanted. On the kidblog, the children started by posting something they are confident in and then if they had time they were encouraged to build someone else's confidence by posting specific examples of things their classmates should feel good about.
